Lorna Donald

Sports & Remedial Massage

Lorna initially took a degree in French and Spanish at Aberdeen University and then travelled to several places to do different teaching jobs including France and Mexico and she did Voluntary Services Overseas, teaching and living in China for a year and a half. Although Lorna's massage is western style sports massage, her time in China has left a lasting interest in all things Chinese, including the language, food and medicine.

She recently retrained at the Oxford School of Sports Massage and gained her level 5 diploma in Sports and Remedial massage. She has worked with lots of runners and cyclists to support them to maintain flexibility and recover from injury as well as supporting several people who were improving their flexibility and range of motion in joints after recovering from operations.

Since her early childhood on a farm in the North East of Scotland, Lorna has always been an active person with a keen interest in taking part in many different sports. At the moment, she regularly swims, does yoga and cycles around Birmingham and the Black Country. At weekends she enjoys walking and camping in the countryside and has walked a lot of the hills in Wales, especially around Snowdonia.

Lorna also spends a lot of her free time tending her double-sized allotment, where she grows an great selection of fruit and vegetables, making some into wine.
