Lorna initially took a degree in French and Spanish at
Aberdeen University and then travelled to several places to do different
teaching jobs including France and Mexico and she did Voluntary Services
Overseas, teaching and living in China for a year and a half. Although
Lorna's massage is western style sports massage, her time in China has
left a lasting interest in all things Chinese, including the language,
food and medicine.
She recently retrained at the Oxford School of Sports
Massage and gained her level 5 diploma in Sports and Remedial massage.
She has worked with lots of runners and cyclists to support them to
maintain flexibility and recover from injury as well as supporting
several people who were improving their flexibility and range of motion in
joints after recovering from operations.
Since her early childhood on a farm in the North East of
Scotland, Lorna has always been an active person with a keen interest in
taking part in many different sports. At the moment, she regularly swims,
does yoga and cycles around Birmingham and the Black Country. At weekends
she enjoys walking and camping in the countryside and has walked a lot of
the hills in Wales, especially around Snowdonia.
Lorna also spends a lot of her free time tending her
double-sized allotment, where she grows an great selection of fruit and
vegetables, making some into wine.
